Dive into the fundamental aspects of kiteboarding with the land-based segment of our “Kiteboarding Lesson 1: Discovery.”
This session lays the ground work, focusing on essential theoretical and practical components. You’ll delve into spot, environment and activity assessment, wind theory, and gear-related topics such as setup, safety systems, and proper kite handling techniques. Through hands-on experience, you’ll learn the how to safely launch and land a kite as an assistant and pilot. You will engage in your first piloting endeavors, exploring the wind window through a series of carefully crafted exercises. Additionally, you’ll hone your ability to walk while flying the kite, setting the stage for a seamless transition into the water.
The lesson includes all the necessary kiteboarding gear and protective equipment.
No water attire needed for this session.
The lesson plan is flexible and adaptable. The pace at which specific kiteboarding levels are attained is determined by the individual progression of the student.
Unlock the potential to become an IKO-certified kiteboarder through this course. An IKO certification allows you to demonstrate your skills world-wide to, e.g., rent kite equipment.
