Kiteboarding Lesson 2: Intermediate (3 hours)

$300.00

IKO Level 2 (Intermediate) Length: 3 hours

Category:

In this lesson, you will venture into the water and handle a fully-powered kite. You’ll gain knowledge on how to relaunch a kite that has landed in the water and master the art of utilizing the wind’s power to “body drag” in your desired direction, including the upwind direction. You will learn how to handle a kiteboard while body dragging and the steady-pull position.

While some students may succeed in standing up on a board during this class, the primary emphasis is on maneuvering with a kite while in the water and becoming proficient in managing both the kite and board simultaneously.

The lesson includes all the necessary kiteboarding gear and protective equipment.

The lesson plan is flexible and adaptable. The pace at which specific kiteboarding levels are attained is determined by the individual progression of the student.

To ensure a comfortable and safe experience, participants are required to dress appropriately. This includes wearing water booties and suitable water attire, such as (depending on prevailing temperatures) a wetsuit. Refer to our FAQ for detailed recommendations.

Unlock the potential to become an IKO-certified kiteboarder through this course. An IKO certification allows you to demonstrate your skills world-wide to, e.g., rent kite equipment.

All participants must complete our liability waiver before taking this lesson.
