Certified instructor
Frank is a kiteboarding instructor certified by the International Kiteboarding Association (IKO). Frank is deeply committed to providing the highest quality instruction to his students, prioritizing safety, individualized learning, and a fun, supportive environment above all else. With a patient and encouraging teaching style, Frank believes in empowering his students to overcome challenges and achieve their kitesurfing goals at their own pace.

Private lessons
At our kitesurfing lessons, we maintain a one-to-one teacher-to-student ratio. This personalized attention is beneficial for your success in mastering kiteboarding as it allows you to learn at your own pace, build confidence, and address any challenges more effectively. However, you’re welcome to bring someone along and we will alternate and accommodate.

Easy beginnings
Our ‘Ground Control’ kite surf lesson is conducted entirely on land, making it the perfect starting point for those just curious about the sport. This introductory lesson covers fundamental skills such as spot assessment, gear setup and handling, kite launching and landing, kite control, safety systems, and understanding wind window theory.

Shallow water lesson ground
When it’s time to hit the water, our priority is ensuring your safety and enjoyment during your kitesurfing lesson. We select the lesson ground for the day based on wind direction, weather, tides and currents. Mostly we will go to spots in the Back River in Poquoson and Hampton. There, we’ll find those stretches of flat and shallow water which are ideal for learning kitesurfing.

Jet ski support
We utilize a jet ski in our kiteboarding lessons for several key benefits. Firstly, it serves as efficient transportation to our lesson ground. Secondly, during the lessons, it provides invaluable support. For instance, when the student is at the water start level and does the first rides on the board the jet ski allows our instructor to quickly assist, give detailed feedback and transport the student back upwind, saving valuable practice time.

We prioritize using top-of-the-line kites to ensure the best possible learning experience for our students. Investing in new, high-quality, premium kites not only enhances safety during lessons but also helps our students to progress faster. With our commitment to providing top-notch equipment, students can feel confident and comfortable as they embark on their kite surfing journey with us.

Radio communication
At our kite boarding lessons, we make use of a radio communicator to accelerate your learning progress. Each student and instructor is equipped with a radio communicator, creating a direct line of communication for clear instructions, your questions, immediate guidance, instant feedback, and enhanced safety on the water.

IKO-certified instructor
Frank is an IKO-certified kiteboarding instructor. He obtained his IKO instructor certification under the guidance of Charly Roche, IKO examiner based in Cabarete, Dominican Republic. Frank adheres to the well-established and proven lesson plan provided by the International Kiteboarding Organization (IKO). This comprehensive plan ensures that students receive structured and effective instruction, covering all the essential aspects of kiteboarding, prioritizing safety, skill development, and overall progress in the sport.
